I am quite upset that in the country of my ancestry and birth,.....TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO,.....I am being hurled insults ( I am called ho, hog etc) at and scorned in the streets as I drive,.....in an attempt to try to FORCE ME TO BE PROMISCUOUS AND DATE ANY PERSON/JUST ANYONE who wants to date me.

I WILL DATE WHO I WANT TO DATE. WHEN I WANT TO DATE THEM. THAT IS MY HUMAN RIGHT. FULL STOP.

I have lived a very low keyed and CHASTE conservative life. I have spent a lot of time studying. I have a BA, a BSc and an MSc. My main disciplines are Management and Sociology,....but I have also done some Project Management and Tourism. These are just one or two certificates.

I will not get bitter. And I will not answer. However, I will not be promiscuous. And my response to the coersion that is being hurled at me is a simply, everlasting "no ......I will not do that".

Trinidad and Tobago is a cruel place. And I will not pretend otherwise.

Paying for the past.

Who can pay?,.....and who will be the judge of who pays?

Why,...... courts and juries have trouble deciding who's guilty and who's innocent for cases that happened LAST WEEK!

For instance, who German alive today had ancestors responsible for murders and injustices to Jews? and who Germans had ancestors that hid Jews in their homes so that they could escape?

Who of the White race had ancestors who were brutal and supportive of Black slavery?......and who were the Whites with ancestors who assisted in the operation of the Underground Rail Road?

Who of the Black race had ancestors that opposed the sale of their brethren of other tribes?,..... And who has ancestors that stood on the Ivory Coast and sold captives of other tribes?

By golly,....we can't even decipher Bosnia, Korea, China, Rwanda, South Africa, India and that list can go on and on,.......and they happened in the last century,......FAR MORE CENTURIES AGO.

The examples I used can go on and on,...... but I hope they illustrate the point that no one has a time machine. You cannot look at someone and decide that you can punish them for past.
Who's doing the punishing?

HOWEVER, SOMEONE WITHOUT WORLD HISTORY KNOWLEDGE,.....(someone a lil academically dumb) WHO WANTS A QUICK EGO FIX TO BULLY SOMEONE ELSE,.....MAY FIND ALL SORTS OF EXCUSES FOR THEIR HORRID BEHAVIOR.

But the bottom line is,.....the bullies' behavior makes them just as bad today, as the actions of the persons in the past that they are denouncing.

No one can control the past. Everyone who is here found themselves here NOW......

Boy meets girl...........

What happens to a man for him to ask a woman out? Date her? Marry her?
Something.
Something happens.

Something magical and mysterious and hard to explain.
He looks at her and ......... WHAM!

He does not talk to her with a blindfold on and then decide he likes her.
He LOOKS at her.

It is in the eyes,.....the vision,..... the beholding.
Not that she is necessarily beautiful,.....or pretty,..... or attractive.

What happens to a woman for her to accept being asked out by a man? Date him? Marry him?

But refuse to understand the exact same thing from the female perspective.

I was so hyped up inside about the possibility of actually going to the Grammy's.
Not as a nominee,..... that would be too much and too fantastic to dream for,........
just as a member of the audience,......for starters.

But the dream cloud has floated gently to the ground,......
And I watched the Grammy's on cable like most of the world..........

and all the deep hopes and dreams vanish into the sunlight of reality.

But as the sunlight comes on.........
I realize that I may never get any moment in my life to magically "celebrate" being me in front of lights and cameras and international satellite dishes...........

And my breath inside me goes up in alarm and I think "Oh no!"
And as soon as I say that, the logic calm warmth of the sunlight seeps into my brain
and I think......... "So what?" ..... calmly.

It dawns on me........ relax.
The celebration in being yourself,....... is to be the best yourself you can possibly be.
So I still intend to dream of the Grammy's etc,.....and reach for the stars,.....
However,....I can relax in the truth that the celebration of all that I try and be and am
Is to be,....... to create,..... to strive,...... to envision,......... to try
To be
As me as I can.

Daddy's little girl is allowed to be assertive. To ask questions. To have self-esteem.
And daddy finds it cute,.....after all...... that's his little girl!

Sadly, daddy's little girl grows up in a world of males who are not her daddy.
The other men in the world do not like "daddy's little girl" personalities on girls who are not THEIR daughters.

The female is now told that being assertive makes her a shrew.
That asking questions makes her "nosey".
And that she is not allowed to have self esteem except if some men or other tell her it is "ok" for her to do so............

Women loose their identity under the male fear that men would no longer dominate if women were allowed to be assertive.
When a woman gets married,...... she becomes a "Mrs."......she becomes a wife
When a woman is not married, but still dares to have a sex life......or if not, even to LOOK sexy,...... she becomes a ho.
When a woman is not married and looks unsexy and withdrawn,....... she is called an old maid.

When a man gets married,...... his identity does not revolve around being married,.... he STAYS a Mr........ he remains a man.
When a man is not married and boasts of having a sex life,..... he then becomes a macho,.....man.
When a man is not married and looks unsexy and disinterested ,......he's just a queer,.......man.

The woman's identity is attached to sexual or non-sexual activity.

The male's identity revolves around his profession.

It is no small wonder that males therefore identify sexuality with the female.
So, when a man feels lust for a woman,...... he does not call himself promiscuous or a pervert,...... he calls the woman a teasing ho. His lust is SOMEHOW her fault.

By this structure, the male has to take no social responsibility for any perversion he may have. When a man picks up a prostitute,.....he's just having "fun" in society's eyes. The woman he picks up, however, is a dirty ho.
In the same space, the man is positive,....the woman negative.

The really sad part is - WOMEN BUY INTO THIS.
So accommodating are women desperately trying to keep marriages together,........... they give up more and more of the identities they gained as "daddy'd little girl"........ that they erode all avenues of self esteem they used to have.

They are then left with only one "self esteem" niche.......... to find ways to look down on their sisters.....

and daddy's little girl becomes lost,.......
confused...........
doomed to be take refuge behind a veil of bitter superiority......

Sex In The City

What an entertaining show. A relaxing laugh at worst.
The thing is,.....it's a show. An artistic production for television.

It is not real life.

Unfortunately,...... I get the impression that men expect women who have tried to keep themselves physically in tact, who are in their late 30's, 40's or 50's,.....who are unmarried or unattached,....... indulge in desperate man hunting sessions,..... and casual sexual encounters.

That impression is mistaken. VERY much so.

I have had the opportunity of observing a small group of people for some time.

Unfortunately, these sad persons spend a lot of their time thinking about what others are doing, trying to stop others from doing whatever it is they (the group) do not "approve" of,.....and trying to create scenarios that indirectly force or coerce others to do what they "want".

They spend so much time trying to control others,.......that they seem to not have time for themselves. Few or none extraordinary achievements.

YOU...... do not make their mistake.

FORGET about what others are doing that you "like" or "don't like" in their own lives,......you concentrate on YOU.
You give YOURSELF the full benefit of your time. YOU,.....muddle through the mundane, the ordinary in your life,....in the world,...... and climb up to the extraordinary, the superlative, the rare.

Whenever you look at others,...... look at their (others')

superlative actions and achievements,.....with an aim to inform and guide your own efforts towards the development and contribution to creativity, productivity, and enlightenment in the world.

Each person is created special by God,....and each person has a special contribution that only they can make to the human experience.

But if you,.......don't concentrate on you,...... and you mistakenly focus on the destruction or obstruction of others,.....you will completely miss the YOU ..... God intended.

In the epic movie "Troy", featuring one of the actor Brad Pitt's greatest performances as the great warrior Achilles,.....we meet an equally great historical figure,.....the King of Troy - Priam.

- For all the armies and men the Greek King Mennaleas ( hope I spelt that right,....lol) commanded. The movie says 50,000 men has descended on Troy under Mennaleas' command.
- For all the gold Mennaleas got from the sacking of the Temple of Apollo
- For all the power he had, or think he had......

The King of Troy Priam had one thing that Mennaleas did not have.

Priam had .....honour.

Achilles told Priam "You are a far better king than the one leading this (the Greek) army".

For even in the face of war, death, defeat, sadness, and the loss of his son Hector,.....Priam was still steadfastly willing to DO WHAT WAS RIGHT.

To not be hateful.
To not be treacherous.
To not be deceitful.
To not be wicked.

People lament in these times,..."times have changed"....they say.

Is it that honour died with Achilles ( who was cowardly killed by Paris) .... and with Priam??

Like Odysseua, I too hope to walk with giants .....IN THIS AGE.....

Not without dust,....the palm

Most people will likely think that I am not serious about being an artist....... for whatever reason they think,.....and that I take the profession and audio recording ......lightly.

But I don't.

I'm always writing,..... I make my own instrumentals,.....and I had to read TONS of stuff in order to reach a level where I can do that.

And don't forget practice,..... I spend a lot of time on my computer ..... making,....re-making,.....listening to,..... scraping,..... re-making,......music instrumentals. The conceptual design of the song is as important as how it sounds to the ear,....the structure has to fit the words, the melody, the mood.

I work,.....Monday to Friday - I'm an academic,..... but all time outside of that is spent on music. Music,....and more music. More and more singing.

My high school's school motto is "Non Sine Pulvere Palman". Which is Latin for "Not without dust, the palm". If you can relate to that,.....put your lighters up!

It takes a lot of dust to succeed at creation. And dust,.... I shall have......

The next time you see someone with a palm,....... remember it is simply a small indication or representation,...... of the dust they endured.

Sir Isaac Newton,...... made over a thousand light bulbs that did NOT work.
But we enjoy light at night,...... because he failed over and over again,......
and kept trying.

First in beauty is........ first in might???? You think????

I remember being in Literature class and listening to discussions on John Keats poetry by my Lit teacher when one day he read from Ode on a Grecian Urn that " Beauty is truth and truth beauty, that is all you know and all you need to know" and later that "First in beauty is first in might".
He turned to me - "Do you agree with that?" he asked.
I thought a second or two, and answered "Yes".
He screamed at me accusingly "You would!!"

I felt so ashamed. I thought,...."Well, ok,....I don't agree with Keats".

Now that I have had many years to think about it, I feel angry that I was made to feel ashamed of my position.

I think about it now - yes ! I do agree with Keats! For beauty, the essence of, has to do with much more then physical good looks. It is kindness, justice, truth, morality ......GOODNESS.

All want goodness to be first in might. What is the alternative? That "badness" be first in might?
Badness/ugliness is only comfortable with "winning" once beauty/goodness reigns. That way, they can get away with their shit.
But not even badness/ugliness wants badness/ugliness to reign supreme constantly. .

Think of the orcs in the epic movie Lord of the Rings. Orcs were once elves who were captures and tortured into deformity and brutishness. They are portrayed as beastile and wild and warlike. Their deformity was a testament to the ugliness/badness of the one who made them look like that through torture.
Who wants to be tortured? Not even those orcs would have liked the badness or ugliness of spirit that took away their goodness.

First in beauty must be first in might. Light of soul and spirit must rule.
Goodness must be sovereign.

If it were otherwise, not even the proverbial ugly, i.e. the bad of spirit, soul,....i.e the darkness ...... would like it.
Demons spend all their time,..... fleeing hell.
